In loving memory of Hannah Bedford-Lee who lost her life in a car accident in 2008, aged 17 years old.
A “hannah” is a random act of kindness that is done for no other reason than to make someone’s day a little brighter. It doesn’t have to be something big, expensive or lavish, just an unexpected act of kindness to make someone else smile. It could be as simple as paying for someone's cup of coffee, returning a shopping trolley, or baking cupcakes for a friend. The acts can be as small or as large as you like..
Why a random act of kindness in memory of Hannah? Hannah would often do little things for friends, like bake cupcakes, or pick flowers at school for her favourite teacher. She had a real knack for making others smile. ♡
So, you might have ended up on this website as you received a "hannah". A random act of kindness!
It might have been from someone you know, or someone you don't! Either way, we hope it made you smile.
If you would like to share the “Hannah” you have received, Hannah’s family would love to read about the good things she is still responsible for. Email us at doingahannah@gmail.com.
We envision these cards being passed on, from person to person, along with the acts of kindness. We hope the ripple effect of doing a "hannah" will stretch far and wide. It is amazing how good you feel when you do something nice for someone else.
So, you're next! These acts can be something as simple as paying for a strangers cup of coffee or baking cupcakes for a friend.
If you would like to do more, we are giving out enough cards for people to do one act of kindness a month, for twelve months. Please email us if you would like to participate - doingahannah@gmail.com.
